What do you like about photographing people?
I love the way people express their feelings, with a smile, with their eyes; I like watching these moments and taking a picture, to save the feeling they had in one moment: sadness, happiness... you can express a lot with your face, it’s very emotional.
Your self-portraits offer an unusual and intriguing perspective, what is the significance of the colour schemes used?
Well, I usually work with white and red but, most of the time, it depends on my feelings and if I choose to use a different colour. I think everything I use means and relates to loneliness and sadness; my self-portraits are full of nostalgic moments and these colours make them stronger. I usually take pictures when i'm a little sad, it's the moment i have more inspiration.
What brought you to photography?
I'm from Málaga but I’ve lived in Barcelona since 2006. I studied photography at college and did a couple of courses. Then, I won a prize in old photography competition and that was the reason that made me take my work more seriously.
What what projects are you currently doing?
I’m working on some personal editorial projects and collaborations, and also with my band - Working on our new album. This year, I’m hoping I can work more on my books, and publish my first editorial work. I'm working hard and am so excited with this.... but then, I have a lot of plans in my mind.
